Justin Farrara is in his second season as assistant men'swrestling coach with the Tornado.
In 2012-13, he helped the Tornado post a dual match record of5-3, while going 3-0 in conference matches. King also competed inmany tournaments and had two wrestler's finish in the top-6 of theNCAA Division II Regional, Dyvon Passmore and Cody Davis. BothTrevor Wentt and Jeremy Miller earned Academic All-AmericanHonors.
Farrara placed third twice in the New York State High SchoolChampionships. His coach, Frank Fronhofer, was a former Harvardwrestler. Farrara also was a multiple New York GrecoRoman/Freestyle State Champion under Coach Joe DeMeo, who was theformer Olympic World Team head coach.
Farrara began his collegiate wrestling career with theUniversity of Pittsburgh before transferring to the University atBuffalo. Due to repeated concussions, he was unable to compete from2007, on.
He was the New York Super Six Wrestling Club Coach from2007-2012 where he trained and developed many high school statechampions, All-Americans, and National Champions. Many of hisclub members went on to wrestle at Division I programs includingBuffalo, Binghamton, Edinboro, American, and LehighUniversity. Farrara also was the assistant wrestling coach atEden High School in New York. He is currently theCadet/Junior Greco Roman head coach for Team New York and anassistant coach for freestyle.
Farrara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History fromthe University of Buffalo in 2011 and is currently working on hisMaster of Education degree at King.
