Justin Farrara is in his second season as assistant men's wrestling coach with the Tornado.
In 2012-13, he helped the Tornado post a dual match record of 5-3, while going 3-0 in conference matches. King also competed in many tournaments and had two wrestler's finish in the top-6 of the NCAA Division II Regional, Dyvon Passmore and Cody Davis. Both Trevor Wentt and Jeremy Miller earned Academic All-American Honors.
Farrara placed third twice in the New York State High School Championships. His coach, Frank Fronhofer, was a former Harvard wrestler. Farrara also was a multiple New York Greco Roman/Freestyle State Champion under Coach Joe DeMeo, who was the former Olympic World Team head coach.
Farrara began his collegiate wrestling career with the University of Pittsburgh before transferring to the University at Buffalo. Due to repeated concussions, he was unable to compete from 2007, on.
He was the New York Super Six Wrestling Club Coach from 2007-2012 where he trained and developed many high school state champions, All-Americans, and National Champions. Many of his club members went on to wrestle at Division I programs including Buffalo, Binghamton, Edinboro, American, and Lehigh University. Farrara also was the assistant wrestling coach at Eden High School in New York. He is currently the Cadet/Junior Greco Roman head coach for Team New York and an assistant coach for freestyle.
Farrara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Buffalo in 2011 and is currently working on his Master of Education degree at King.
