Dawn Regan has been elevated to the position of Administrative Support for Athletics and Compliance and is entering her fifth year of service with Tornado Athletics. She is an integral part to the day-to-day function in the athletic department as she serves as an assistant to the Athletic Director, Compliance Officer, associate and assistant athletic directors, Senior Woman Administrator, and coaching staffs of King’s 25 varsity athletic programs.
As a part of Regan’s responsibilities, she prepares and distributes all athletic agreements, national letters of intent, and recruitment efforts and sees them through the validation process with Conference Carolinas and the NCAA. Regan is directly involved in student-athlete eligibility issues and works with the athletic training staff to insure Tornado student-athletes complete necessary physical and health inspections before competing.
In addition to servicing the needs of King’s 17 head coaches and their staffs, Regan is also an assistant to both the athletic director and compliance officer and addresses a variety of needs in their respective areas. With her involvement in nearly every area of the King Athletic Department, she helps coordinate the master schedule of events, venue assignment, and departmental meetings.
Regan attended Broward Community College, located in Davie, Fla. and went on to work for multiple public and private legal firms as a legal secretary in southern Florida. Previous to her employment at King, she worked in the Bristol (Tenn.) school system from 2002-08 as an educational assistant.
She and her husband of 25 years, Jay, are the proud parents of three boys; Nick (21), Alex (19), and Jake (15). Nick is a current student at King and Alex is an sophomore that will play varsity soccer with the Tornado. They reside in Bristol (Tenn.) and are members of First Presbyterian Church.
