NCCAA All-American awards for Smith and Murray

GREENVILLE, S.C. - King College had a pair of players earn 2009-10 NCCAA All-American honors with a Tornado on the first team and an honorable mention.

Clarence Smith (Nashville, Tenn.) was placed on the first team after he averaged 10.7 points per game. He played in all 30 games and averaged 5.6 rebounds. Smith also led the squad with 32 blocks during the season from his forward position.

Elisha Murray (Ft. Myers, Fla.) averaged 11.6 points per game in 2009-10 to be on the honorable mention list. His field goal percentage was 51.7 and he dished out 1.6 assist per contest.

Both Smith and Murray were on the All-Mid-East region squad.

King ended the season with a 24-6 record after finishing as the runner up at the NCCAA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship and were second in the Mid-East Region tournament.
