HIGH POINT, N.C. - The King College duo of Ariel Apolinario and Joel Salva were named to the 2010 All-Conference Carolinas First Team, the league office recently announced.
Apolinario, a senior from Miami, Fla., led the team with 208 kills, as he averaged 3.2 per set. Apolinario had a hitting percentage of .342 for the season. He also served 22 aces and was credited with nine assists through the season.
Salva, a junior and Lake Mary, Fla., native, totaled 695 assists in 2010 and averaged 11.4 per set. During the season he added 33 kills and served 33 aces, a team best.
King ended the season with a 13-7 record and a 4-4 conference mark which was tied for third.
The squad was selected by head coaches from the five member schools in the first year for men's volleyball as a conference sport.
