Lady Tornado duo in the 80s at Agnes McAmis Invite

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - King College started the 2010 Agnes McAmis Memorial Invitational Monday with a pair of players posting rounds in the 80s.
Heather Payne (Maryville, Tenn.) led the Lady Tornado with an 86 thanks to matching sides of 43. Manda Minor (Bluff City, Tenn.) followed with an 87. Malorie McBride (Brentwood, Tenn.) fired a 96 and Ashley Jones had a 121 giving the squad an opening round 390.
Methodist (N.C.) College jumped out to the first-round lead with a 298. Three players carded scores of 71, one-under-par, in the opening round.
The final round will get underway for the 86 golfers at the Link Hills Golf Course Tuesday morning. The course played as a Par-72 at 5,805 yards.
