Mid-East region honors for Tornado duo

GREENVILLE, S.C. - King College had a pair of players named to the 2009-10 NCCAA All-Mid-East Region squad as Clarence Smith and Elisha Murray were honored by the organization.

Murray, a senior guard and Ft. Myers, Fla. native, averaged 11.6 points per game in 2009-10. His field goal percentage was 51.7 and he dished out 1.6 assist per contest.

Smith, a junior forward from Nashville, Tenn., played in all 30 games for King this season. He had a 10.7 points per game average with 5.6 rebounds per contest. Smith led the Tornado with 32 blocks over the season.

King ended the season with a 24-6 record after finishing as the runner up at the NCCAA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship and were second in the Mid-East Region tournament.
