BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College has added three to the women's wrestling roster for the 2010-11 season recently as Katarina Perez, Hanna Martin and Stacy Martin all will be a part of the Lady Tornado program.

She was a four-time CIF Champion also won the USA Folkstyle State Championship four times. Perez also owns three California USA Freestyle State championships and two California USA Triple Crown titles.
"Katarina was one of my top recruits all year, especially after I had the opportunity to see her compete this past summer at the Junior Freestyle National Championships in Fargo, N.D.," said King head coach Jason Moorman. "She will make an immediate impact here at King, and will be striving for a national championship next year."
Hanna Martin, an El Reno, Okla. native, was touted as one of the top recruits nationally with two Body Bar Cadet National Championships. She also was a three-time USGWA National Medalist along with three USAW Folkstyle National Medals. Martin got two Junior Women's Freestyle National Championships as well. As a freshman in high school, she won the Canada Cup. In addition, she qualified for two Oklahoma Boys' State Tournaments and placed fourth at the 2008 state event.
"Hanna has been mentioned as one of the top recruits, and has added to a great recruiting class that we feel we are putting together at King," Moorman said about her. "She believes in where we want this program to go, and we can't wait to get her here next year."
Stacy Martin resides in Frisco, Texas and went to Liberty High. As a 51 kilogram wrestler, Martin placed twice at the Texas State Championship with a third this year and fourth a year ago. She was a two-time USAW Folktyle National Medalist, 2009 Body Bar Cadet National Champion, 2009 Texas Freestyle State Champion and 2009 Junior Body Bar All-American.

"Stacy has had great success, especially this past year, and has tremendous potential," Moorman commented. "What we like about Stacy, is that she is tough and a hard worker. From the matches I have seen her wrestle, she doesn't stop until the match is over, and that mentality is something every coach looks for."
King finished 10th at the WCWA Nationals in January with three Lady Tornado wrestlers earning All-American status.
The Lady Tornado will be a part of the University National Championships Friday and Saturday in Akron, Ohio.
