SAVANNAH, Ga. - King College closed out the Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.) Spring Invitational Tuesday with a final-round 395.
The team score of 786 over the two rounds placed the Lady Tornado squad in 14th. King finished behind Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University by 56 shots. USC-Beaufort held onto the top spot in the team standings with a two-day total of 632. Armstrong Atlantic (Ga.) State University was next, six shots out of first.
Manda Minor (Bluff City, Tenn.) lowered her final round score by two shots, down to 91. Karissa King (Rockwood, Tenn.) posted another 95 while Malorie McBride (Brentwood, Tenn.) improved by 17 shots with a 98 Tuesday. Chelsea Gammon (Blountville, Tenn.) fired a 111.
Nikki Stewart (SCAD), Jayne Curtis (Berry College) and Kaitlin O'Sullivan (USC-Beaufort) were tied atop the individual standings at 11-over-par for two days. Stewart went onto win on the second playoff hole.
King concludes the spring schedule April 12-13 at the Agnes McAmis Memorial Women's Golf Invitational at the Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn.
