Tornado trio in Top 6 at SMC Open

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - King College posted three Top-6 finishes Saturday at the Spartanburg Methodist (S.C.) College Open with two third-place performances.
Alex Holley (Louisville, Tenn.) went 3-1 in the 141-pound division to finish third. Brandon Smith (Charlotte, N.C.) was also third in the 197 class, but he had to win twice in consolation matches after dropping the first contest.
Kwinten Brown (Alexandria, Va.) fought for sixth in the 165 class going 3-2 in the day of wrestling. Brown had to wrestle teammate, Josh Richardson (Elizabethton, Tenn.), in the second round with Brown winning. Richardson finished the day going 2-2.
Next for the Tornado wrestling squad will be the University Nationals in Akron, Ohio on April 6.
