GREENVILLE, S.C. - A 1-1 week dropped King College two spots in the latest NCCAA Women's Basketball Division I Burbridge rating down to No. 15, the organization released Tuesday.
King started off with a 53-50 win at Cumberland (Tenn.) University before dropping an 80-71 contest to Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) University. The setback snapped the Lady Tornado's six game winning streak and gave the team an 11-9 record entering Wednesday's meeting with Carson-Newman (Tenn.) College. The game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
The Lady Tornado's Burbridge stands at 6.85 after being at 7.03 last week.
The top-three teams remained the same as Campbellsville (Ky.) University held onto the No. 1 spot in the nation and the Mid-East region. Cedarville (Ohio) University and Indiana Wesleyan University, from the Mid-West region, were No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Bluefield (Va.) College, from the Mid-East region, slipped a spot to No. 5 as Mt. Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) University took over No. 4.
Cincinnati Christian (Ohio) University also represented the Mid-East region at No. 9.
