GREENVILLE, S.C. - King College has a total of nine individual Top-25 rankings in the latest NCCAA Division I Men's Basketball stat report, the organization released this week.
Among the rankings is the best free throw percentage with Craig McCargo (South Boston, Va.) at a perfect 100 percent. Brian Hewitt (Lexington, Ky.) dropped a spot to No. 2 nationally in assists with 6.1 per game and Stephen Kite (Atlanta, Ga.) fourth in three-point percentage at 50.0 percent.
Seven players combined for 13 Top-10 stat rankings in the Mid-East region.
King had a total of 13 team stats in the Top-25 for the second time in the last three reports. Last week the Tornado had 12 among the Top-25. Seven of the 13 were in the Top-10. The newest ranking was the team's three-point percentage which was 35.9 percent and landed at 19th nationally.
The Tornado was placed No. 6 in this week's NCCAA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches' Poll after landing at No. 2 in the NCCAA Burbridge Power Ratings.
King, at 12-4 on the season, travels to USC-Aiken for a 3 p.m. game Saturday. King saw an eight-game winning streak snapped Wednesday as Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) University won a 77-58 contest.
