BRISTOL, Tenn. – Conference Carolinas announced their Presidential Honor Roll for the fall semester and King University came in fourth in the league with 237 student-athletes named to the list. The Tornado baseball team led the way for King teams with 22 student-athletes on the list.
Limestone College led the league with 357 while Belmont Abbey College and Emmanuel College were second at 240. King then came in next with 237 student-athletes named to the list.
The King baseball team led the way with 22 student-athletes named to the list and men's soccer team came in next with 19. Cheerleading and dance, women's soccer and softball all were next, each have 18 student-athletes gain recognition. The acrobatics and tumbling team had 14 named to the list while the women's volleyball team had 12 and men's golf and women's track and field were the final teams to reach double figures with 10 apiece.
Each semester this recognition is given to student-athletes who achieve a grade point average of 3.2 of higher on the 4-point scale. All student-athletes, including underclassmen, transfers, and those who play non-conference sports, are eligible for the recognition as long as they have participated in a sport for the semester in question. The Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll is awarded twice each school year, recognizing the scholastic achievements of student-athletes for each semester.
