Turner had a huge weekend for the Tornado, hitting .727 with eight hits, including five doubles in four Tornado victories. On Saturday she ripped a two-run home run that gave King a 3-1 lead in their game one win over Lees-McRae College. She then laced five doubles and drove in eight runs in Sunday’s sweep of West Virginia State University. In game two on Sunday she went 4-for-4 with four doubles and six runs batted in. She also scored five runs on the week, including two in Sunday’s game two win.
