Bowman won the title at 155 pounds at the Bobcat Open with four wins. She took the title with a 21-second pin of Sacred Heart University's eighth-ranked Madison Sandquist. To reach the final she pinned Jocelyn Yepez of Emmanuel College, took a 10-0 technical fall over Emory & Henry College's Molly Keller and pinned Sacred Heart's Tayla Tildsley in 1:34.
