Thompson had a big weekend for the Tornado, leading King to three Conference Carolinas wins. She hit .600 on the weekend and slugged .900 as three of her six hits were doubles. She posted at least one hit in each game, running her hitting streak to seven games. The sophomore also drove in five runs and scored four times. She started the week by going 2-for-2 with two doubles, two runs batted in and one run scored in King’s win over league-leading Barton College. Thompson closed the week by going 2-for-3 with a double, two runs batted in and two runs scored in a win over Chowan University.
