Tornado Athletics Hosts Military/Veteran Appreciation Night Tonight!

King will host Military and Veteran Appreciation Night on Thursday, Jan. 24. Active or veteran military personnel and their families are welcome to both basketball games, free of charge.

BRISTOL, Tenn. – In appreciation for their revered and ongoing service to their country, King Athletics will host Military Appreciation Night on Thursday, Jan. 24. Active or veteran military personnel of any branch of the United States Armed Forces and their families are encouraged to attend the men’s and women’s basketball games, free of charge.

Both Tornado teams will be hosting the Limestone Saints inside the Student Center Complex on Thursday, Jan. 24, in key Conference Carolinas matchups. The women’s game will begin at 5:30 p.m. while the men are slated for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.

For those active and veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces, please bring your military I.D. for free admission for you and your family.

Thursday also will feature the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee’s (SAAC) Make-A-Wish fundraiser event in an effort to send a local child to her favorite Disney theme park. Details on the event can be seen here. T-shirts and ‘Support Stars’ will be sold (while supplies last) before and during both games with all funds raised going toward the costs of granting young ‘Kellan’ her wish.
